In 1967, a probability survey was published in Psychonomic Science. The study asked people to place a percentage figure next to a series of adjectives describing the liklihood of an event occuring, for example "Highly Probable". In 2005 and 2006 I repeated this experiment on a small scale with friends, family, and some school students. The results of this experiment are shown below.
